We, the undersigned residents and road users, respectfully request that Luton Borough Council installs an enforcement camera near Althorp Road to address the ongoing issue of drivers illegally entering the No Entry section of Althorp Road.

Despite existing road signage, many drivers continue to ignore the No Entry restriction. This behaviour creates serious safety risks for residents, pedestrians, cyclists, and lawful road users. It also causes regular disruption and concern for those living on and around Althorp Road.

An enforcement camera would:

• Deter drivers from ignoring the No Entry restriction

• Improve road safety for residents and pedestrians

• Reduce the risk of collisions and near misses

• Support fair and consistent enforcement of traffic regulations

We believe that installing a camera at this location is a necessary and proportionate measure to protect public safety and ensure compliance with traffic laws.

We therefore urge Luton Borough Council to investigate this matter as a priority and take appropriate action by approving and installing an enforcement camera near the No Entry point on Althorp Road.
