Changing Rondini Avenue to a one-way road and permit holders only

Change Rondini Avenue to a one way road

Currently Rondini Avenue is 2-way road connecting Leagrave Road to Bishopscote Road. Given the high volume of parked vehicles, including commercial and cars awaiting repair from the multiple motor trade businesses on Leagrave Road, there is not enough space for cars to flow through resulting in residents parked cars being hit.

Also with the current private school on the corner of the road, parents are deciding to drop off/collect their children at the mouth of the road and continue on to do illegal turns in the road, causing unnecessary traffic for both cars coming off Leagrave Road and is a danger to children who are walking to and from school.

Therefore we are proposing making Rondini Avenue a one-way road, similar to other roads in the area.

Furthermore, the ample amount of garages on Leagrave road lead to excessive broken or damaged cars parked on the street for days, sometimes even weeks leaving no parking for the residents, which is why we are also requesting permit holders only. Every household on Rondini Avenue has off street parking, enough for two cars per household and any extra cars can be parked on the spaces that will become available if the garage stops parking their broken vehicles.

There is an increasing risk of physical damage to residents and their property.

Kind Regards.
