I became a councillor because I wanted to represent my local community and have a part in the decisions which affect them.

• What do you love about Luton?

I love Luton because it is a multicultural town. Furthermore, we have London Luton Airport which is one of the fastest growing airports in UK and in few years it will create thousands of jobs for the local community and Luton will become a business hub for neighbours. I'm confident that Luton is thriving and has a lot of potential. We have the Luton and Dunstable Busway, Inspire Luton Sports Village and a developing University.

• What issues are you most passionate about in your role as councillor?

Unemployment, education, housing and health are the issues people are more concerned by, social justice for all is my dream and I intend to create equal opportunities for all on a basis of equality.
