I studied at the University of Warwick and decided to return to my home town after graduating. I now work for HSBC in London, commuting daily, having previously worked for a social mobility charity. Thank you for electing me to this important duty, and I consider it a great honour to be able to serve you.
• How long have you lived in Luton?
I was born in Luton and grew up here, having attended Hart Hill Primary School, Wenlock School, Ashcroft High School and Luton Sixth Form College.
• Which ward do you represent?
I am a councillor for the High Town ward.
• What do you love about Luton?
I have always enjoyed living in Luton, and am proud to be a product of it. I feel fortunate to have grown up in a diverse place and feel that our community has incredible amounts of potential - a potential that is reflected every day in the stories that I hear of our town’s inspirational people.
• What issues are you most passionate about in your role as councillor?
As one of the youngest serving councillors (I am 24 years old), I am also keen to get the voices of young people heard and make sure that our local democracy is one that is inclusive and empowering of our town’s brilliant diversity. I am also keen to be a contact point for all residents who have any issues, and to serve as a connection between you and the council.
